As I began writing my desires for 2023, a snowflake fluttered upon my notebook, landing on the word Teacher. I smiled because lately, I have been trying to redesign my business card and I keep getting stuck on my title. There is something about it saying, “Spiritual Therapist,” that doesn’t feel quite right.
Spiritual Teacher, however;
Now that feels good inside.
What does it mean to be a Spiritual Teacher?
Well… what is teaching? Communicating information or educating another in a skill or technique? Sure. They are definitely facets of teaching. I think learning is *SOUL* much more than just attaining information or skills. Learning is coming into congruence - into harmony - with the life force within you and the world around you. You learn so that you may develop/evolve/change and be more of who and what you are.
What makes a Spiritual Teacher, I feel, is the power to regulate to the source of life and growth within you. Mmhmm. Regulate.
The most important assignment we are commissioned to is not purely to convey knowledge but to also conserve an energy that opens the way for a person to access their own inner teacher.
Now, whatever you wish to call such an energy; whether it's charisma, personal magnetism, sex, benevolence, love or something else, a Teacher MUST be careful how they use it.
And to be real... this is where I am chewing and digesting. Because you know... 'When You Know Better - You Do Better."
The energies that come from the inner realms can be very powerful, especially those that draw on the primal force of love. If you have been sexually intimate with someone, particularly if you have ever orgasmed with someone, chances are you created a Soul tie or Karmic lesson. This can often lead to random moments of challenging cycles with them or a yearning; perhaps when you can sense them in your atmosphere, though they are never around. It can come in the forms of thoughts, fantasies, desires, behaviors, coincidences and more.
When this is happening, life force is being drawn from the two. And how that energy is being used is entirely up to the level of healing you both have accomplished. I feel it's imperative that we truly understand our power and our authority because these energies can bless and liberate; bind and limit too.
As a Teacher, I lean to believe that you are a servant to the one who comes to you. And this is because You are retained by the true Teacher, which is the Sacred within them. That’s the attraction, the magnetism, the pull you wish to liberate in another.
Once you recognize this, it's easier to understand your role in another persons life.
Personalizing exchanges as if they were your own initiative can draw people to you and hold them, but only at the cost of their freedom and yours.
As you grow in your ability to invoke and hold these subtle energies, you become responsible for their effect upon others.
The job of a teacher is to liberate and to support.
No one should be bound to you or because of you.
The work together is to help people be themselves in deeper and more sacred ways.
For this, freedom is essential. Freedom is the gift of a loving mind.
What I am acknowledging in this path is that, it’s YOUR capacity to stand in YOUR own sovereignty and sacredness, that I wish to strengthen. It is YOUR capacity to uniquely contribute to life what only YOU can, that I wish to empower.
This is a powerful lesson and has made me aware of how easy it can be to misuse spiritual or charismatic energies.
Truly, I feel accountable... And welcome the shifting - growing - Name.
